Lunar Eclipse Night

Hi all,

We are organising an event for the upcoming total lunar eclipse on .

The plan is to leave Chennai after lunch on Sunday and reach the venue by 3PM. We have a bunch of educational events planned. After dinner, we will start seeing the eclipse from an open ground and continue till about 2AM. We can have a brief rest after this and start for Chennai by sunrise.

Now, since we expect a lot of interest for this, please note that:

1. The venue can accommodate only 25-30 people.
2. We will shortlist people based on the form responses and your interest.
3. We will be inclined to select very few families due to the limited number of people we can take.
4. Expect very few amenities in the venue. You will have to sleep in the open on a tarpaulin. This is not a fancy campsite with tents/mattresses for everyone. We will have clean restrooms though.
5. Being a remote farm, expect insects, frogs, etc.
6. Smoking, drinking, etc. are strictly prohibited at the venue. If you come intoxicated, you will be asked to leave.
7. If you are not bringing telescopes or other heavy gear, please carpool with the other participants as the venue cannot handle too many vehicles.
8. If you are coming with someone, please provide the same email address for all the related participants so that we know you are coming as a group.
9. Venue details will be shared with the shortlisted participants. It’s a farm about 2 hours from Chennai.
